HARVEY CLIFFORD DOERKSEN April 13, 1944 - December 22, 2013 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Harvey on December 22, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 69 years. Harvey was predeceased by his parents Peter and Elizabeth Doerksen, and brother-in-law Louis Gendron. Celebrating his life are his two brothers Elmer and Bob (Dorothy), two sisters Linda (Cornie) Kornelson and Elaine Doerksen Gendron as well as their families, precious friend Mary Reimer as well as numerous relatives and friends. Harvey worked for the Department of Highways for many years. His passion was music. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital and at CancerCare Health Sciences Centre for all the wonderful care. A Celebration of Harvey's life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium, 1800 Day Street. Viewing one hour prior to service.
