HELEN TUTAJ Suddenly, on December 24, 2013 Helen Tutaj, beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 70. Helen is survived by her mother Anna Dubanski, daughters Ola, Mary, and Margaret (Michael), grandchildren Mathew and Megan and numerous relatives in Canada and Poland. She was predeceased by her husband Miroslaw in 2009. Helen was born in Obermerzbach, Germany on July 24, 1943 and immigrated to Canada from Poland in 1959, where she met and married her husband Miroslaw in 1964. She worked as a factory worker sewing at numerous companies but primarily worked at Canada West Boots. In June, 2003 she took an early retirement to look after her husband Miroslaw. Helen was a very simple and selfless person who always put her family's needs before her own. Her care and compassion were never ending. She enjoyed gardening, outdoors and spending time at the lake, sewing, visiting with family and friends, walking the family dog Lucky, and of course, traveling to see her grandkids in Toronto. Helen had hip surgery in May and it gave her a new lease on life. When asked how she was feeling she would often show everyone her new hip by dancing around. Neighbours would even see her take a running start on her daily walks with Lucky. 2014 was going to be a busy year with planned home renovations and a trip to visit the grandkids. Sadly, it was not be be. We never had a chance to say goodbye. It will be lonely here without you. We will always remember the things you did for us. Your heart was true and tender. You lived your life for those you loved and those you loved will remember you in their hearts forever. Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue, with interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Agnieszka Ciochon Newton, Andrzej Dobosz, Michael Kaczmarek, Zygmunt Kaczmarek, Donovan Moreton, Susie Osadczuk. Honorary pallbearers will be Lech Galezowski and John Osadczuk. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Ghost Church or a charity of your choice. Wieczny Odpoczynek Racz Jej Dac Panie 204-586-8044
