GORDON JENNINGS KEDDIE Passed away at the Tiger Hills Manor at Treherne, MB, on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the age of 82 years, Gordon Jennings Keddie, formerly of Holland, MB. Gordon was born on December 11, 1931 at Holland, Manitoba to Phillip and Myrtle Keddie, the second oldest of four siblings. He lived his entire life on the same farm in Holland until health issues dictated a move to Treherne to the Tiger Hills Personal Care Home. He was always very loyal to the community and took an active interest in local organizations. In later years, he served as secretary-treasurer of the Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund as well as the Seniors Friendship Centre. Although our Uncle Gordon never married, he was a very special uncle to all his nieces, nephews and extended family. He was very insightful and thoughtful, as demonstrated in his gift selection at Christmas and Easter. Gordon leaves to mourn his passing his sister Phyllis Turnbull of Treherne, sister-in-law Lois Keddie of Winnipeg as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Sylvia Keddie and by a brother Bert Keddie. A Celebration of Gordon's life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holland United Church with Sandra Rex officiating. Interment will take place in the Brookdale Cemetery, Holland, MB. Following the service, a reception will be held in the Holland Friendship Centre.
