Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCIEN (LOU) CHARETTE With sadness we announce the passing of Lou on December 29, 2013 surrounded with love by his wife and four daughters. Lou is survived by his wife Ethel and daughters Sylvia (Jake), Valerie (Phil), Lucille (Ted) and Michelle (Mark), grandchildren Melissa (Darrell), Patricia, Joshua, Kandice, Chelsey, Alyssa, Kayla and eight great grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Oril and Allan and sisters Rolande and Edith. Lou was predeceased by his parents Laurent and Florentine, sister Lorraine and brother Eldege. Lou was born in St. Malo, MB on August 1, 1936. He married Ethel in 1959 and lived in West Kildonan for over 35 years. Lou was a hard working man. His career was in the trucking business. When he wasn't working he enjoyed the outdoors. Lou's greatest love was his family. He loved Ethel and was proud of his daughters. Lou was "Dad" to all of his son-in-laws. He was kind, generous and always there with a helping hand. He spent many hours helping his family renovate their homes, fix cars, whatever needed to be done. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the Luther Home. The extreme kindness, compassion and exceptional care from the staff was appreciated over the last four years. A private family memorial service will take place in the new year.
