Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA SANTA Peacefully, on January 1, 2014, Anna passed away at the age of 97 years at the Charleswood Care Centre. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years Franz, infant twins Hansel and Gretel, sons Ernie and Frank, brother Rudy (Zita) and sister Ella (Imre). Remaining to cherish her memory are son Les (Christine), grandchildren Lori Ann (Craig), Les Jr. (Serena), Ashley, Lindsay, Charlene (Monty), Cheryl (Terry), great-grandchildren Nevada, Liam, Anna, and Sophia and brother Victor (Margaret). Also numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was born in Hungary, June 14, 1916. She immigrated to Canada in 1956 at the age of 40 years with her husband Franz and their three sons and settled in Winnipeg. Anna was employed at the Winnipeg General Hospital throughout her career and retired as Supervisor of Housekeeping. Mom will be fondly remembered for her generosity and commitment to her family, her compassion and understanding and always showing love to everyone she met. She was very loved and will be missed very much. Grandma, you loved us all unconditionally and taught us so much. We were so lucky to have you as our grandma. We will always love and miss you. Funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, January 8, in St. Ignatius Church, Corydon and Stafford at 11:00 a.m., interment to follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley Street and reception at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. The family would like to thank all the staff at The Charleswood Care Centre for your compassionate care. Dear Charlene, I was sorry to hear of the passing of your Grandma and also your other losses in the years gone by.
