IRENE LAPOINTE Peacefully at Actionmarguerite-Taché Centre on January 5, 2014, Irene Lapointe passed away at the age of 97 years. She leaves to mourn one son and four daughters, 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by her husband René and her son Léon. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She touched many lives and will be truly missed. The children would like to thank the staff at Actionmarguerite-Taché Centre for the excellent care given to our Mom. A Memorial Service presided by Sr. Rose Desrochers, SNJM, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. A private interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. I stopped at Tache to see Aunty on occasion, while visiting my friend, she seemed to know who I was, maybe not so much at the end, but was always happy to have someone come and say hello...
