As a school friend of Michael's son Werner, I was fortunate to know Michael in the late 1960s and 1970s. He and Werner taught me to water ski at Lake Brereton and snow ski at Falcon Lake and Banff. He even hired me to work for his plumbing and heating company for two summers. His concern and fatherly advice helped get me through some very tough times when I was a teenager. I have often reflected on his warmth and generosity and will always remember him as a very positive influence on my life. My sincere condolences to Norma, Werner, and the rest of the family. - Posted by: Brian King (friend) on: Jan 08, 2014

Our sincere condolences on the loss of your dad, your grandfather, your husband, our brother, our uncle. While we are physically separated, we share a family bond that geography cannot erase. We understand the pain of losing people dear to us and, as our collective family decreases in numbers, let's look forward to increasing the bond among those of us who remain. - Posted by: Eva McLean (Niece) on: Jan 08, 2014
