Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANITA (MA) SETH January 21, 1950 - January 5, 2014 After a four year battle with Breast Cancer, Anita Seth, beloved wife, mother, sister, "bua" and best friend passed peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. Anita is survived by her husband Sunil, sons Rishi (Neera) and Hersh, granddaughter Sophia Anita; siblings Ravi Tandon (Anita), Ram Tandon (Preeti), Mohan Tandon (Shashi) and sister Savita Mehrotra; nieces: Richa Nekrep (Joseph), Priya Tandon, Gunjan Khosla (Abishek), Sipra Tandon, Nivedita Mehrotra (Santosh), Neha Kapoor (Harsh); nephews: Harsh Mehrotra (Ratika), and Krishna Tandon. Anita was a graduate from the Allahbad University in Food Sciences and a Bachelor of Law, graduating in the top of her class. In 1979, she married Sunil Seth and shortly thereafter immigrated to Canada. With Sunil she had two sons whom she loved very much and spent much of her life raising. When her children were older, she became an accomplished business owner of General Tours and Travel Services, later starting a very fulfilling career at RBC Royal Bank where she became a successful and decorated Mortgage Specialist. Along with family and career, Anita travelled the world with her adoring husband and enjoyed volunteering in the community with the India Association and the India Pavillion. A celebration of Anita Seth's life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home located at 1291 McGillvary Blvd. followed by "Shanti Path" Ceremony at the Dr. Raj Pandey Hindu Centre located at 999 St. Anne's Road at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting any donation to be made in Anita's name to the Selkirk Regional Health Centre via the Interlake Regional Health Authority. The family in particular would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Selkirk General Hospital in particular Dr. Richard Lindenschmidt and nurses Melanie and Debbie who's genuine compassion helped Anita in her most difficult days. We met Anita through her husband Neil. Anita was a very beautiful lady inside and out. Anita and I reconnected as we were each sitting in the chairs at the Chemotherapy department in Selkirk. I was beginning my cancer journey as she was in hers. Anita was very positive, always smiling and offering advice. During this time Anita told us she was going to be a grandma. As she was telling us her eyes sparkled. You could tell she was very excited. Neil and family we are so sorry for this heartache you are experiencing.
