Dear Gail, I wish I could have said these things last week, but it was hard to celebrate someone's life who was taken far too soon. We had so many good times, from the first time I met you, I was welcomed. Shale slide parties, camping by the creek, fondue parties, making homemade pasta and drying it in your basement. Colts at the funny farm (glad that was only a party thing!) birthday parties for Christa & Jordan, helping you move into and renovating the house on Warsaw and the many get togethers there. The big storm where you couldn't get out the front door, the Friday afternoon coffee and your wonderful baking. Christa and Jordan coming for sleepovers when it was the Landau Christmas party, raking leaves, carving pumpkins. I'm so glad that you loaned me your children before we had ours. And once we had ours, thank you for the special Christmas ornaments, and first birthday ornaments, being there on birthdays and when I needed a shoulder to lean on. We drifted apart when you moved away but connected more often when Calum was born. So glad that we connected again this past year or so....thank you for letting me in just a little bit. Gail you were courageous, tenacious, fun loving and a true friend. A great memory of a visit in your garden last summer, a wonderful day, wish we had more. My heart aches for Christa and Jordan, you were their rock. You taught them well, they will move forward because they are courageous like you. Love you! Hugs! - Posted by: Carl (Long time friend) on: Jan 24, 2014

I worked with Gail at Ceridian. We had great fun together, with Janet S., organizing the President Club conferences. We called ourselves the Bermuda Trio, after the first location we went to. Gail was dedicated to the job, committed to excellence and loyal to her friends. We maintained a friendship even after Janet and I had left Ceridian. I became acquainted with Gail in the 70's. She was often part of the crowd when my little band played the Glenella Hotel on Saturday night. Unknown to Gail, she was not just part of the crowd to me; I recall her as an exceptionally beautiful young woman who was obviously very popular. I, of course, had a big crush on her but being a shy prairie boy never acted on those long ago feelings. I am saddened now to hear of her passing and send along my deepest sympathies to all the family and especially to Barb, Dianna and Brian and their families. - Posted by: Lorne Whitelock (Family friend) on: Jan 11, 2014
