MERENCE DAIGNEAULT Peacefully at the Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, MB, Merence passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the age of 99 years. She is survived by her three children; Hubert (Diane), Danny, and Ann (Victor). She also leaves behind to mourn ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, two sisters and many friends. Merence lived a long and happy life. She was a strong and kind woman who loved her family dearly. She was born in Quebec to a family of 12 children and later lived in Saskatchewan before settling in Manitoba with her husband Joseph to raise their family. Those who loved her will never forget her gentle nature, her great compassion and her fierce loyalty. Merence had strong faith and brought joy into every room she entered. She was always a busy lady focused on enjoying every moment of a day. She loved to garden and bake, sew and knit and create beautiful things. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be forever blessed to have been loved by her and will carry her love with them and share their memories with future generations. The family would like to thank the very generous and giving staff of Villa Youville. The support and attention they provided both to Merence and her entire family is so appreciated. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Merence Daigneault will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15 in the chapel at the Villa Youville. All who loved and admired Merence are welcome.
