Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALCIDE LEVESQUE It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Alcide Lévesque, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He left us peacefully, surrounded by his family, on January 10, 2014 at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marie-Thérèse (née Damphousse), his sons Richard (Hélène), Fr. Gabriel, daughter Jocelyne (Gaetan), grandchildren Jacques (Amanda), Chantal (Steven), Katherine, Josée, Stéphane, Emilie, Colin, and his two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Darius, as well as many brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, Dora (Gentes) and Albert Lévesque, his daughter Louise, and his brother Omer. Alcide was a man of kindness and patience. He was able to persevere courageously in everything he did. His talent in carpentry was evident in the homes he built, including his retirement home on Echo Lake in Saskatchewan. He was a man of great faith and loved his family dearly. The family wishes to thank the staff of the St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their kindness and care. Prayers will be held at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons St. on Thursday, January 16 at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Norbert Roman Catholic Church on Friday, January 17 at 2:00 p.m. presided by Fr. Gabriel Lévesque. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alcide's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. Dear Therese, Richard, Gabriel, Jocelyne and families, We have been mourning with you since hearing of the death of our dear Alcide. He left much here at the Qu'Appelle House of Prayer, and above all, in our hearts.
