Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIAN AND HAROLD PHILLIPS Marian Patricia Phillips passed away suddenly in Edmonton after a short illness on December 24, 2013. She was joined in Heaven by her loving husband, Harold Cowden Phillips, who passed away on January 3, 2014. In September, 1924 Marian and Harold were born a few hours apart in Regina, Saskatchewan where they grew up and were sweethearts from the age of 15. They were married in June, 1947. Marian and Harold lived primarily in Regina until the mid-1960s, then lived in Winnipeg until 2007 when they moved to Edmonton to be near their family. Harold enjoyed a 42 year career with the Canadian Pacific Railway, starting as stenographer and finishing as a senior manager, responsible for the Prairie Region. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. Following his retirement in 1983, Harold spent 15 years as a successful real estate agent in Winnipeg. Marian loved her life as a devoted wife, mother of her two sons and Amma to her three grandchildren. She was active in her neighbourhood community and in the Fort Garry United Church. Marian and Harold will always be remembered with love by Alex Phillips and his wife Judith Britten and by Kent Phillips, his wife Karen and their children Jonathan, Christy (nee Robbins), Jennifer and Daniel and their grandson, Isaac. Marian and Harold will also be remembered with love by their niece, Lynn McManus, husband Jim, children Leigh and Paul and their families in Regina. Interment of their remains will occur in the spring next to Marian's parents, Charles and Mary Ritter in Calgary. In memory of Marian and Harold, in lieu of flowers a donation could be made to the Salvation Army.

Hi Alex, Judith, and family. I was very sad to hear of your parents' passing. I remember meeting them way back at a Christmas party in Victoria when we were all still little girls.
