AMY DONNA JEAN BELLERIVE (nee EDGAR) March 9, 1945 - January 16, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Amy Bellerive on Thursday, January 16, 2014 in the St. Pierre Jolys Hospital where she was receiving palliative care. Amy is survived by her husband Roger, her children Ronald (Helen), Arlene and Leon (Angie), grandchildren Ashley (Damion), Marc, Gregory, Alyssa, Justice, Cassidy, and Chayse, and great-grandchildren Dominic and Aleya. She will be deeply missed by her sister Brenda (Ralph), sister-in-law (Doreen), Aunt Connie, as well as nieces and nephews. Amy was predeceased by her parents Mac and Katie Edgar, and brothers Art and Jim. Amy was born in Elkhorn, Manitoba and later moved to Churchill where she met and later married Roger. They relocated to Southern Manitoba and together raised three children and built their family business. Amy loved cooking, baking, gardening and providing amazing meals for the family that was the centerpiece of her life. As a cancer survivor, Amy often expressed deep gratitude for the gift of each day following a ferocious battle with lymphoma more than 30 years ago. She lived those days fully with passion and appreciation for life. The family wishes to express thanks to the Palliative Care and Home Care Teams that helped to keep Amy at home as long as possible. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Eagles Club in St. Norbert on Thursday, January 23 at 1:00 p.m. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
