ROMAN LAZARENKO
Date of Passing: Jan 18, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROMAN LAZARENKO It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Roman Lazarenko. Predeceased by his parents, Tom and Doris Lazarenko, Roman leaves to mourn Frances, his wife of 47 years, daughter Audrey (Nick), son Adam (Beth), daughter Lesley (Jeff), and two grandsons, Michael and Matthew, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous friends. Dad worked hard all his life and was always there to lend a helping hand - never asking for anything in return. Dad always provided for his family and held a very special place in his heart for his lifelong love, our mother Fran. Dad fought a long, hard, courageous battle with heart disease which ultimately lead to dad's passing, with his family by his side, on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Z. Pozeg and the many nurses and support staff that took such great care of dad during his stay in the I.H. Asper Cardiac Care Unit. A special thank-you to Dr. Pozeg for going above and beyond to give dad every possible chance to try to stay with us. "Dad, you have given so much of yourself, now it is time for us to give back to you. This is your time now, please rest for you have worked so hard. It's not a goodbye, it's a I will see you later". engl. below Von Pat Krasey haben wir die traurige Nachricht erhalten, dass Roman am 18. Karin, Frank und Fred Mattes Hasel/Schwarzwald/Deutschland Pat Krasey informed us of the sad news that Roman had passed away on the 18 January. We are deeply affected by the news, and hope France and their kids find enough strength in theses sad days. During our visits in Canada we got to know Roman as a very friendly, fun-loving and helpful man who was always up for a joke He will remain in our memories as great manx and friend, whom has left us much too early. Our thoughts are with his wife Frances and their children. Karin, Frank and Fred Mattes Hasel / Black Forrest / Germany - Posted by: Karin, Frank and Fred Mattes (friends) on: Feb 18, 2014

Even though you're not with us physically anymore, you always have, and always will be, a brother, among other things. Death doesn't change that type of relationship you had with your brothers, Roger and Russel. Or your family and friends. It isn't easy letting go of someone we care deeply about. Whatever the relationship was with Uncle Roman, he left and impression on everyone. And that will live on forever. - Posted by: Nicole (Niece) on: Jan 28, 2014

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss. Sorry we are unable to be with you to celebrate and remember Roman's life. I have many fond memories of time spent together at the lake and visits at our homes. These visits will forever represent the strong ties between our families and our love and support for one another. Roman's smile and sense of humour brightened everyone's day and will live on. Roman will be sadly missed by our family out west. Spent many good times together, some crazy job sites, clearing wild blackberry bushes, digging and planting cedar and pine trees, never wanting to take a break, rather say come on let's get it done! Our thoughts are with Fran and her family. - Posted by: Donald James Mayer (Brother-in -law) on: Jan 22, 2014

Our sympathy to Frances and family. The times we had an opportunity to either see Roman or chat on the phone were times of reminiscing. We talked about our younger years and about how things had changed. Roman talked about all the projects he was doing, he was talented in so many ways. But most of all, we will remember his smile and joyful laugh. Bonny and Don Hutniak - Posted by: Don & Bonny Hutniak (extended family) on: Jan 22, 2014
