GERARD ALBERT MANGIN Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, Gerard Albert Mangin, beloved husband of the late Florence Mangin, of Holland, MB, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at his home in the Foyer Notre Dame at the age of 88 years. Left to mourn Gerard's passing are his children Annette (Donald) Verniest of Holland, MB, Raymond (Annette) Mangin of Bruxelles, MB, Celine (Antoine) Hutlet of St. Claude, MB, Denise Major of Somerset, MB, Louane (Rick) Lee of Winnipeg, MB, daughter-in-law Jacqueline Mangin of Somerset, MB, 29 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn Gerard's passing are sisters Marie Bisson, Therese (Raymond) Faucher, sister-in-law Marie-Raine Mangin, brothers Francois (Madeline), George (Emeliene) and John Mangin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gerard was predeceased by his wife Florence (nee Bisson), sons Ronald and Daniel Mangin, son-in-law Kevin Major, his parents, Joseph and Ernestine (nee Simoens) Mangin, brothers Louis (in childhood), Emile, and Louis Mangin, stepmother Elizabeth Mangin, and brother-in-law Alcide Bisson. Prayers will be held at St. Gerard Catholic Church, Bruxelles, MB at 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gerard Catholic Church, Bruxelles, MB at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014. Father Paul Bisson and Father John McKenzie concelebrants. Interment to follow in the St. Gerard Parish Cemetery.
