Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • When I was born in 1942, my parents & I lived in a rented room in Walter's parents home. John, Nettie and Walter loved me like I was their own. Walter was a teenager then & I cannot forget his constant smile and how kindly he treated me. We met a few times in later life and he continued to be a sweet and loving man. My condolences go to those he left behind & I am sure he is with angels now. - Posted by: Jim Christie (Aquaintance) on: Feb 05, 2014

  • So sorry to hear about Wally's passing. Together with Ernie Kuz, Gil Goodman and later Ab McDonald, we played golf at Tuxedo on Sat. mornings for many years. Wally was a super guy and always good for a chuckle. He also was late for our tee-off time most Saturdays. I used to jokingly tell him that one day he'd be late for his own funeral. Maybe that will happen and I'll just bump into him somewhere. - Posted by: Ralph Janzen (Old golf buddy) on: Feb 04, 2014

  • Our family has many good memories of Wally from Ernie's stories about their adventures growing up, our shared family Christmases, golfing, cross-border trips and summer get-togethers at the beach. And like Ernie, he was always a great hugger. You chose a wonderful picture of him with the big smile we'll always remember. Our deepest condolences for your loss. - Posted by: Elaine & Patricia Kuz (family friends) on: Feb 01, 2014

  • I want to express my deepest condolences to Julia, John and Sydney. In the short time I've known Walter he always joked around, was very pleasant to chat with and absolutely loved and cared for the animals around his home. He will be missed. - Posted by: Shirley Chu (Rented parking space) on: Feb 01, 2014
