JENNIE (JEAN) SCIBAK June 9, 1929 - January 28, 2014 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Jennie was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Michael; father, Wasyl Bahlay; mother, Maria (nee Bazilewich); stepfather, John Huzela and son-in-law, Joseph Hyshka. Jennie is survived by four children, Bertha (Millie) Hyshka, Patricia Davis (Ross), Garry Michael Scibak (Donna), Wayne John Scibak (Madeline); as well as her grandchildren, Darren, Sean, Bobby-Joe, Jenny-Lynn, Leeann, Paul, Michael and Samantha. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren; her sister, Julie (Juney) and nephews, Walter and Daniel. Jennie worked for Swifts Canada for many years, achieving the position of Shop Union Steward before retiring. Her many loves included flowers, gardening, reading, crocheting and knitting, as well as fishing and camping. Our family will greatly miss Mom's humour, smile and guidance. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1 (today) at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St., Winnipeg. Interment will be approximately 11:45 a.m. in Greek Catholic Society Cemetery, Gimli, MB. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at both Maples Personal Care Home and Seven Oaks Hospital for their efforts and care provided. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-956-2193
