Whenever I visited Gretna (when I was younger with my sisters & parents & then when older I visited with my mother) my memories of seeing Uncle Art were always fond. I found he had a gentleness about him that was very calming. My mom thought the world of Art. She said she loved talking with him on the phone & seeing him. His greeting "How are you doing girl?" was her favourite. He & Aunt Mary had many trips to Calgary for visits. Each one very much appreciated. Our condolences to the family. People come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. I cherish that Uncle Art was one of my life timers. - Posted by: Gail Hallett (Wozney) & Family (Niece ) on: Feb 07, 2014

I'm sorry to hear of Art's passing. My father Art Knopf worked with him for many years at the PipeLine. Mom & Dad were friends of Art & Mary's in Gretna, up until they moved to Winnipeg in 1997. Dad passed on in Oct. 2012, but Mom (Hildegard) & I want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time, and may God give you comfort and strength to carry on. - Posted by: Liana (Knopf) Klapecki (Father was a co-worker of Art's) on: Feb 07, 2014
