LINDA JOYAL-ACORN (nee MOORE) It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our mother / grandmother, Linda or "Meme" as she was referred to by the grandchildren. Mom passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, on February 4, 2014, at Kildonan Personal Care Centre. Linda was born in Manitoba on April 10, 1928. Her parents Thomas and Christine Moore, her sisters Ruth, Joyce, and brother Jimmy are all now deceased. Linda met our father, Fernand Joyal in 1947 and together they had and raised six children together. Together for 35 years shared in the raising of the children. Linda is survived by her children: Joan, Joyce (Val), Rhonda, Dennis (Sheri), five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Linda is predeceased by her two sons Larry Joyal (Sandy), Randy Joyal, and our father Fernand Joyal. Linda married Don Acorn and they shared two years together. Linda was a loving mother and grandmother and was thankful for the company of those in her last difficult months. Your memory will forever be with us all. The family would like to thank her caregivers at the Kildonan Personal Care Centre. Special thoughts and thanks to Judy and Shelley for their kind and compassionate care. A memorial service will be held at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day St., Winnipeg on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
