Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESE MARIE ALICE DESROSIERS (nee GENDRE) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Therese while surrounded by her family, Friday, February 7, 2014 at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by parents Ulysse and Rosanna Gendre. Siblings Lea, Alice, Joseph, Edmond, Louis, Albert, Alphonse, Jean, Marie Angel, Noe and Georges. Therese is survived by loving husband Rene, children- Roland (Wendy), Diane (Lorne), Jeannine (Ron), Yvette (Brian), George (Birgit), Carole (Ron). Grandchildren- Daniel (Karen), Monique (Dan), Kieth (Dalena), Deneige (Shane), Crystal (Craig), Michael, Amelia (Mike), Duncan (Kelly), Sabrina, Kody and Dustin. Great-grandchildren - Hayden, Beyla, Chloe, Ava, Kirsi, Cali and Sienna. Surviving siblings- Leonard, Rose, Angelina and Celine. Therese was born in St. Claude, MB on April 15, 1931 and resided here to her late teens, later to move to Winnipeg where she met her one and only love Rene, who she was to later marry September 29,1951. Besides being the most loving and compassionate wife to Dad and a big part of the successful family business, Mom's world revolved around her large family, what they were up to and achieving in their own lives and was thankful they were always close by. Mom always looked forward to the many family gatherings where every one of us was greeted by her warm loving smiles and open arms. Completely and in short...Mom had a wonderful life. Prayers and viewing will be held Wednesday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Notre-Dame de- l' Assomption Church 609 Leola St. Funeral Mass for Mom will be held on Thursday, February 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Notre-Dame de-l'Assomption Church 609 Leola St. Reception to follow at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium, 1800 Day Street. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Therese's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba We would like to offer sincere thank you for the love and compassion offered to our family in our difficult time by the staff at Concordia Hospital.
