This was my Grandpa. My Dad Larry was Dorothy's son but I always knew him as my grandpa. I lived in Alberta when I was little and only got to visit them a handful of times and wish i could have been around so much more :( i remember going swimming in their pool, and granny sending me a box full of her home made baking every christmas. And all of her cards she would send. I am so sorry for our loss Granny I wish I could be there with you. I just found out from Stephanie. If someone reads this who is close with my grandma Dorothy please tell her about me. I don't have her phone number and would appreciate it if anyone can help me? We lost contact and I want to talk to her so bad. Please and thanks anyone - Posted by: Kassie (Grandpa) on: Mar 08, 2014

Earl will always be remembered in my heart as the man who welcomed me into his pool, always took time to have a conversation on our adjoining driveways, and always said "Be good to Sandra!" Earl was always outside enjoying his family and enjoying his friends on Quiring Bay. He has brought years of friendship and comfort to my parents and our family, and his good humour and tasty cuisine will always be remembered. My sincerest condolences to Dorothy, Shannon, Todd, and Darren. - Posted by: Sandi, Shawn, Lexi, Makyla, & Carter (Friends/Former Neighbour) on: Feb 19, 2014

We have known Earl for over forty years, having been good friends and next door neighbours. Our fond memories include the many visits back and forth, many including coffee or meals, the visits over our back yard fence, swimming in his back yard pool often with our kids and grand kids, his generosity with his baking, especially his cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies and going out to restaurants with him and Dorothy. Every Christmas we received a wonderful basket of goodies made by him and Dorothy. Their fruit cake and mincemeat tarts were very special. Earl initiated a neighbourhood Valentine dinner cooked by the men for their sweethearts and which became an annual event for many years. His kindness, generosity and sense of humour will be missed by all. Goodbye dear friend. We will miss you. We regret that we are unable to attend the service. Our sympathy to all of the family.
