It is with great sadness we announce the tragic passing of Daddy's "Beautiful", Chloe Patricia Jean Bushie on Sunday morning, February 9, 2014. Chloe was larger than life. She loved reading, singing, dancing, swimming, painting, colouring, baking, and sewing. She was like her daddy always wanting to try everything. Chloe loved it when her cousins and friends came over to play. They would run around in her dresses and heels, always asking her brother Colton to chase them, but before long they wanted her karaoke machine fired up. They belted out their favourite songs."Call me maybe", "This girl is on fire", "Timber", "What did the fox say", "Set fire to the rain", and her biggest solo "Wrecking Ball". Our daughter took our breath away with her smile, her twinkle in her eye and her huge, loving and very thoughtful heart. "I'll Love You Forever" and" I love you more" were her favourite sayings. Chloe leaves to mourn her daddy Rick, mommy Glennis, brothers Jared (Dallas), Colton John and her beloved pet Tuna the Luna. Chloe also leaves to mourn her Poppa and Granny Harvey and Margaret Bushie; Gamma and Gamps; Velma and Bob Davies; Grannie Bev, (Grannie); adopted grandparents auntie Pearl and uncle Faron and Momma and Poppa Stevenson; Great-Grannie's Garda Sutherland, Norah Breckon, Illa Bird, and Marion Davies; and aunties and uncles Ian (Candace), Robyn (Gab), Rachel, Amanda (Lyle), Tammy (Joshua) Allen (Lil), Vernon (Myrna), Rene (Lorlei), Darryl, William, Tanis (Rudy), and Alice (Larry), Godparents, Ian Bushie, Myrna Bird and Roxanne Stevenson She is predeceased by her uncles John Bird, uncle John Bushie, Big Moosh Ebenezer Sutherland, grandpa's Glen Bird Jr., great- grandparents Glen Bird Sr. (Billy), Rhys Davies, Walter Breckon, George and Bella Bushie. Special friends Maddie, Boopie, Tanesha, TJ, Isabella ,Billy, Ozawashko, Katie, Rissa, Aubrey, Logan, Niya, Dante, Kix, Derrell, Korilyn, her baby Briella. Thank you to her friends and staff at Dawn & Dusk, Roots & Wings and Sunny Mountain Daycare Centres; her pediatrician Dr. Sylvia Kovnats and Nurse Darlene; special cousin Sara, school friends from John De Graff; and her special teacher Mrs. Madec-DiBartolo otherwise called Mrs. D. Also the Chief and Council and community members from Peguis, Hollow Water, Fisher River and all the family and friends from near and far. Wake service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the River East Mennonite Brethren Church, 755 McLead Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. Wake services continue on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the residence of Harvey and Margaret Bushie in Hollow Water, MB. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hollow Water, MB. Interment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery, Hollow Water, MB. We met beautiful Chloe when she was visiting, when her Grandma Velma carried the torch at the 2010 Olympics. Velma kept us up to date with photos over the years. You could tell Chloe was Velma's everything, so proud of her. We are so heartbroken over your tragic loss. I had the pleasure of caring for this little angel when she was younger and she was a child that made everything and everyone around her smile. It is always sad when we lose one so young, for we will never truly know their full potential in life, as a result all of society feels the loss. I had the opportunity, a few times anyway to watch this little one at play...once at her grandparents Camp at Black Island, I was struck by her wisdom and intelligence, she had an extensive vocabulary and very imaginative play (Chloe may have been 3 or 4)! another time she played with her cousins at her aunt Robyn's again she commanded the play among her little cousins. She was a beautiful child both inwardly and outwardly. I will always remember her dimples and laughter. Please know that you are not alone in your loss and sorrow, our prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Chloe will forever be in my heart. She touched me in so many ways. You are so right when you talk about that twinkle in her eyes and her smile. There was something very special about it. She glowed. I had the honour of watching her sing everyday and I told her that I expected her to be on TV singing Oh Canada for the Winnipeg Jets one day. She had so much passion behind her. "Wrecking Ball" was another hit I used to love watching her sing out the corner of my eye as she played in the classroom. She was a wonderful student, an intelligent girl, and she will be deeply missed. Heaven gained an angel. Let her watch over us and keep singing. Our family was not only shocked but deeply saddened to hear about Chloe Bushie's sudden passing. Losing a young child is unthinkably devastating for any family. We had been neighbours for 30 years with The Bushie's. Our hope is that God will give you both the strength to understand what happened and ease your grief. We are so sorry.
