VIVIAN (BIBIANE) MANN (née LAGACE) March 2, 1926 - February 9, 2014 It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Aunt Viv. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Mann in 2005 as well as all of her brothers and sisters and their spouses: Fernande (Eugène) Turcotte, René (Irène) Lagacé, Gabriel Lagacé, Sister Armelle Lagacé, Gérard (Gemma) Lagacé and Gilberte (Conrad) Levasseur. Left to mourn her passing are her brother-in-law, Jim Mann as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. She was like a second mother to Lucie and her husband Bruce; Denis and his wife Mary-Ann and their daughter Helen; Val and her husband Cliff, and their son Dan (Theresa); Lynne and her husband Keith, and their sons Aaron and Cameron; Roger and his partner Kevin. She will be deeply missed. Aunt Viv was raised in La Salle, MB and later moved to Winnipeg where she worked in the mail order department at Eaton's. She married Bob, the love of her life, on April 27, 1963. Uncle Bob and Aunt Viv enjoyed their life together immensely. They were wonderful cooks and they loved to entertain. They spent their summers in Lac du Bonnet and they had fond memories of flying to Gammon River with the Heather Game and Fish Club. They also enjoyed their Caribbean and Panama Canal Cruises as well as their trip to Hong Kong. Aunt Viv had a wonderful sense of humour. She was quite athletic and she loved to golf and curl. She was an excellent gardener and she took great pride in her home and yard. Her most cherished memories were spending time with family and friends. She was warm and sincere and very much involved in the lives of her loved ones. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the St-Martyrs Canadiens Church at 289 Dussault Avenue. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba at 6 Donald Street in Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 Desjardins 233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • We are recalling the kindness, and food, Vivian showered on us as children - Posted by: jim and cindy (nephew, niece) on: Feb 15, 2014

  • Vivian and Bob were wonderful people. My first memories of the Gammon fishing trips was with them. They were great hosts and always made everyone feel so welcome. No one loved a party more than Bob and Vivian. Vivian will be missed by all who knew her. She also introduced me to the best carpet cleaner ever. You know that if Vivian trusted someone to do a good cleaning job they were good. - Posted by: Judy Grant (Friend) on: Feb 12, 2014
