ARTHUR WILLIAM HEESAKER Peacefully at the Oakview Extendicare on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 our loving father, grandfather and brother passed away at the age of 88 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ila, parents Jake and Mary, sister Dorothy, and brothers, Albert and Ed. He leaves to mourn in his passing his children Tod (Monica), Michael (Kathy), David (Madelaine), Valera (Wayne); grandchildren Rory, Rae, Amber, Jasmine, Kateland, Thomas, Rena, David, Colin, Brendan and sister Carrie and brother Gene along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Dad was born on the family farm in Million, MB on September 26, 1925. Dad worked various jobs until he found his passion in grain elevators where he worked for Manitoba Pool for 40 years. Upon retiring he and Ila moved to Elie, MB where he spent his days gardening, bird watching and many a game of cribbage. Missed are the days Dad showed up with a van full of fresh produce. Cremation has taken place and at his request a private celebration of his life will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Ducks Unlimited.
