Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNIKOLAOS BASTOUNIS It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father Nikolaos Bastounis on February 12, 2014. He was pre-deceased by his wife Anastasia Bastounis and leaves behind his children John Bastounis (Barb Swaine) and Dina Bastounis (Vassilios Christodoulopoulos), his grandchildren, Nicholas, Dimitri and Adamantia, his siblings (Christina, Mihalis and Vaggelis) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, the United States and Greece. Nick was born in Alea, Greece and immigrated to Canada in 1962 making Winnipeg his permanent home. Nick retired from the DEW Line, as a general labourer, exploring different parts of the Northwest Territories. He was a proud, loving, charming man and will be remembered for his strength, loyalty to his friends and family and his deep devotion to his late wife and children. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 7:00 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Ave. Funeral to follow on Wednesday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Flowers to be sent to Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. Special thank you to Fr. Theodore Paraskevopoulos, who will be presiding at the service and for his support. May he rest in peace in the arms of God and be once again reunited with his Tasoula for eternity.
