I knew Wayne all through high school. He often drove me to school, and I spent time with him at Minaki. When I entered university, we lost touch and I am sorry for that. In my later years, I have tried to touch base with some of my past friends, and I was saddened to learn of Wayne‘s passing. Donna, I still remember you as a bubbly young lady and you grabbed a hold of Wayne‘s heart. I know to the reference to Dr. West in the obituary. I went to medical school in Winnipeg and became interested in neurosurgery. I did an elective in neurosurgery and worked with Dr. West for a month. He was a great influence on me. I eventually became a neurologist, not a neurosurgeon. I currently live in Kelowna BC. I retired from my neurology practice after 37 years. I wish you all the best Donna. In case you don’t remember me, I was the tall skinny guy with thick glasses - Posted by: David Craig (Friend from high school) on: Apr 19, 2023

Donna, many years have passed us by and I have always thought of you from time to time. Know that my thoughts are with you today as I reflect on the "sisterhood" we once shared growing up. There will be a day that we will reconnect and compare notes on where our life's journey has taken us. You were blessed to have such a good fellow to share 37 years with. So hard to lose a loving husband and father and fond memories will sustain you. My condolences to the family. Rest in Peace Wayne. - Posted by: Donna Wildfong (Old Friend) on: Feb 28, 2014

Sean I first met your dad in 1986 when I first started with McDonalds, at that time he helped Louie. I enjoyed your dad's sense of humour and his ability to fix anything. We will miss him a lot at St.B. Janice and Ivor and some others that remember Wayne send our regrets. Love you Sean Maggie - Posted by: Maggie Wilkinson (work) on: Feb 24, 2014
