Frans and I were close friends for 35 years. We spent many a trip following back country roads, getting stuck in mud, running on the sand dunes, bird watching, site seeing. He dreamed of having a home in the country and purchased a place near Deloraine. Thanks to Frans I was able to buy a home in Libau. He loved visiting me here. He is dearly missed. - Posted by: Manja Nyland (close friend) on: Mar 02, 2015

Knew Frans from Timmies, enjoyed many conversations and attended many of his shows. He was a fine artist and a gentle soul. RIP our dear friend. - Posted by: Marlene Forgie and James Forgie (Tim Hortons Friends .) on: Mar 13, 2014

Jenny and family, sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. I will always remember the great times he and I spent together on nature rides in the country. I cherish his insights on art, the books he shared with me and the many discussions we had on European history and Christianity. Rest in peace, old friend. I met Frans looking for artists to show. Walking into his home was a true treat. He was an amazing artist that had a spirit to match. I looked at him and his life as a hidden treasure. I only knew him for a short time, my condolences to his daughter. I think of him often and know his legacy lives on - Posted by: ken sgal (associate friend) on: Feb 22, 2014
