Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN CHONKO Helen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at the age of 99. She was born on January 6, 1915 in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan and was a first generation Canadian born to John and Kalyna Kitzul, who settled from Austria. She was formerly of Barry and Scarborough, Ontario, and has been a resident here for 25 years. Helen married John Chonko on July 28, 1934 and was preceded in death by him. She is survived by her one son, Eugene and wife Lynn; grandchildren Bradley, Darren, Warren, Melani, Cassie, and Gregory, all living in the United States. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren James, Alyssa, Connor, Garrett, Lauren, and Jacob Chonko, and Madison and Mason Telles. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with The Rev. Fr. Alexander Harkavyj officiating.
