MARIA GUARINO (nee CASTELLANO) February 15, 1948 - February 21, 2014 With her devoted husband and children by her side, Maria peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of February 21, 2014. Maria will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years Rocco, children Gino (Sandra), Enzo, Rosanna (Geoff Wilson), grandchildren Kalena, Madison, Ella and Rhea, brothers Carmen (Anotonietta) and Aurelio (Caterina) of Winnipeg, sisters Francesca (Rocco) and, Gerardina, sister-in-law Romana of Italy, brothers-in-law Donato (Anna), Gerardo (Anotonietta) and Antonio of Europe, sisters-in-law Maria, Rosa and Lina of Europe and many, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Maria is predeceased by her parents Caterina and Guiseppe, brother Pietro, brother-in-law Pasquale, parents-in-law Maria Rosa and Luigi, brothers-in-law Francesco, Vito, Antonio, Giovanni and Ernesto, and sister-in-law Angela. Maria/Mom/Nonna will always be known for her huge heart, passionate personality and her greatest accomplishment, her family. The family would like to thank all the caring staff at CancerCare MB Seven Oaks and St. Boniface, as well as Riverview Health Centre. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., from Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Rev. Father Sam Argenziano celebrant. Offering of condolences and viewing and will be held one hour prior to mass. Entombment to follow in Holy Angel Mausoleum Hwy #1 East at Green Acres Memorial Gardens Maria's pallbearers, as per her request, will be her nephews, Gerry, Mario, Joe and Marcello Castellano, Randy Lischka and Tony Costantino. In lieu of flowers donations in Maria's memory can be made to CancerCare MB.
