• Just two weeks ago we met at our weekly (Saturday) gatherings and shared homemade panzarottis & homemade wine. Donato always took time to make me feel welcome & part of his life. He had a passion for friendship, good food & great homemade wine. I will miss him as will all the group who meet weekly. We will always remember his smile, cheerful nature & his passion for all things homemade! • Mr. Mariani was an awesome man. I have never heard him complain about anything. He was the type of person that will never say anything negative. During summertime he would be outside his house smoking and telling me funny things/stories about anything. I always thought he was going to a party because he was always dressed up with his hair properly combed. He is a very helpful and remarkable man. We will miss you. • Incornata, Donna, Maria and Tony, it was a memorable re-union with Donato several years ago when I visited the family as a long lost cousin living in Montreal and not seeing Donato since we were teenagers growing up in Italy. His cheerfulness and hospitality will always be remembered particularly his special greeting over the phone to myself as “Cumara Lucietta Bella”. We are saddened by his early departure and wish we were closer to pay our respects to the family. Please accept our deepest sympathy.
