  • We are saddened to hear of Bonnie's passing; her smile and laugh will be missed at the art/carving schools in several provinces. Please accept our sympathies. - Posted by: Byron and Beth Crabb (Fellow artists) on: Mar 01, 2014

  • Bonnie was a regular at our Sask. River Valley Art School at Shekinah and was in my class at Sorento. Her ready smile was a reflection of a person with a good heart and one who supported the carving community with her time and energy. We will all miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time. - Posted by: Harvey Welch (Carver) on: Mar 01, 2014

  • My husband and I met Bonnie during an evening game of Mexican Train during the week-long Shuswap School of Carving and Arts in the small community of Sorrento, BC. While many students went back to carve in the evenings (do our homework), Bonnie could be found, with her bubbly laugh and enthusiasm, gathering a group gamers together for an evening session of fun and relaxation. In 2010 I took over as Coordinator of the School and Bonnie sent me helpful emails of advice and suggestions on how we might improve the School. My husband took more than one class with Bonnie and he says she always had a smile on her face and was quick to offer help or words of encouragement to fellow students. Bonnie attended the School for 8 of the 9 years since it began and she made many friends at the School. Her bright and shining presence will truly be missed by the many people who got to know her. Our hearts go out to her family and friends during this time of sorrow. - Posted by: Kathy Phoenix, Coordinator, Shuswap School of Carving and Arts (Friend) on: Mar 01, 2014

  • Dr. Trodden was always a class favorite (U of M dental hygiene 1996-1998). I will always remember she was quick to laugh and quick to show empathy/understanding to our struggles. She was open with us and I remember her two favorite and loved possessions were her hubby and her dog Jagger. Rest in beautiful peace Dr. Trodden. - Posted by: Laurelyn Cavilla (Former student) on: Feb 28, 2014

  • Dear Gerry, I am so sorry to hear about Bonnie! We have been fellow carvers at Shekinah and Sorrento for many years. I will miss her smile and enthusiasm, especially at Mexican train. Many warm thoughts and prayers for her and you at this time! - Posted by: Gail Kopp (Fellow carver) on: Feb 28, 2014

  • Gerry my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Although I didn't know Bonnie well, I will always remember her as being a very outgoing and fun loving person who lived life to the fullest. - Posted by: Suzanne Doricic, Regina (co-worker with Gerry) on: Feb 28, 2014

  • I am so sorry for your loss. I met Bonnie through curling. I enjoyed my years curling with Bonnie and shared in her enthusiasm for the sport. I loved our Sunday mornings to attend our curling clinics. She was always willing to help out by sitting on the executive and making the draws. I will miss her laugh and her smile. May God bless you and bring you peace my friend. - Posted by: Elvira McInnis () on: Feb 27, 2014

  • So sorry to hear this news about Bonnie. She will be remembered by me as the wonderful and cheerful person who took a true interest in anything in your life you shared with her. Her laugh would fill a room that would draw people around just to listen and learn. She will not be forgotten. - Posted by: Dave Cripps, Regina (friend and co-worker with Gerry) on: Feb 27, 2014

  • Dr. Trodden was one of my profs when I was a hygiene student from 1974 to 1976. She was always there to help with a welcoming smile in clinic. I know her future interest in Inuit dental studies and publications were well regarded. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Joan Fairbairn Cleghorn (Student) on: Feb 26, 2014

  • We are so sorry to hear about Bonnie's untimely death, Gerry. Our condolences to you. Bonnie was one of my instructors at the School of Dental Hygiene and I learned so much from her then and especially since I started my own career in teaching 20 years ago. I was always amazed at her great memory because she could remember the names of many of her past students while I had trouble remembering the names of those who had recently graduated! She was a good mentor and will be missed. I have wonderful memories of her and we will keep both of you in our prayers. - Posted by: Diane and Claude Girardin (Friend and co-worker) on: Feb 26, 2014
