Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET ANGELIKA HIEBERT (THIELMANN) Margaret Angelika Hiebert (Thielmann) died peacefully in her home on the farm February 21, 2014, having received years of appreciated public Homecare support. Our dear mother immigrated to Manitoba in 1948 and married Johann Hiebert in 1949. Together they operated a mixed farm near Pigeon Lake. Margaret enjoyed tending the animals, preserving vegetables and fruits from her gigantic garden, cooking wonderful meals and baking everything that the family required. She declined personal interests in favour of encouraging her children to complete high school and post secondary education. When the grandchildren arrived she took special interest in them. In addition to visiting with her Winnipeg grandchildren she travelled to Alberta, Ontario, Kuwait and Finland. She is lovingly remembered by her six children Rudy, Eduard, Theodor (Helen), Lily (Eric Hiebert Rempel), Werner (Rochelle) and Angie (Matthew Smith); grandchildren Duane (Tracey), Katey, Mark Rempel, Ian and Alex, Oisin and Ciarn Smith; great-granddaughters Kelsey, Natasha, Ashley, Meghan; great-great-grandson Jenson; one sister Elvira Janzen (Abbotsford), and in-laws Anna Pankratz (Germany) and Katharine Hiebert (Kitchener). She was predeceased by her husband Johann (1979), brother Alexander, and sisters Lydia Mueller and Anna. Visitation prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held March 5, 2014 at 2:30 p.m., at the Schoenfelder Mennonite Church, Pigeon Lake and interment at the church cemetery. Reception to follow. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to Mennonite Central Committee Refugee program or Mennonite Church Manitoba German Radio program. I remember spending time as a young child on their farm with my sister. Churning butter, playing with kittens and the hens chasing us. (even broke my ankle there:) Fond memories. May God be with you and comfort you on the loss of your mom/grand and great grandmother. - Posted by: Sylvia Klassen (Cousin/niece) on: Mar 01, 2014
