It is with deep sorrow that I say good by to a dear friend. You are in a better place now, with loved ones and at peace. I will always remember our chats together and will fondly remember you as a hard working, loving and giving man. Always remembered, till we meet again someday. Klaus was probably one of the most misunderstood teachers I have ever met. Beneath that gruff no-nonsense teaching face was a heart of pure gold. He did his craft with kraft (to borrow a little German). Rest In peace. - Posted by: Ray Bacala (Former student) on: Mar 05, 2014

I remember Profesor Phillip with great warmth and respect. As a young student at the university I was terrified of his lab because he was so serious. Yet when you were able to look into his eyes you could see a kind and loving person who took pride of his work and what he did. He wanted his students to appreciate science and particulary Chemistry (Biochemistry). He was a great story teller and practical in his teaching. I thank Professor Phillip for sharing his knowledge with us. I am sure he rests happy and in peace and takes with him a great accomplishment of sharing his knowledge with us. You will be missed Professor Phillipp - Posted by: Juan Carlos Herrera (Student) on: Mar 04, 2014
