Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEFF SCOTT RUNOLFSON It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our dear Jeff, at the young age of 38 years, at his home in Stonewall, MB on Friday, February 28, 2014. Jeff will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his common-law partner Audrey Levasseur; parents Jim and Irene; his brother Greg along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Over the years, in school and at work, Jeff made a lot of wonderful friends who also mourn his passing. Jeff is predeceased by his grandparents Clem and Eva Belyk, Steve and Ethel Runolfson, father-in-law Paul Levasseur, uncles Bob Belyk, Alex and Pall Runolfson, and very special aunt Agnes Chartrand. Jeff was born in Teulon, MB on August 29, 1975 and grew up in Lundar where he enjoyed playing sports, especially curling and golf. He graduated from Lundar School in 1994. After graduating from Security Officer training, Jeff's assignments took him to various locations throughout Manitoba, out to Alberta and eventually to hospital security at the Mental Health Centre in Selkirk. Always known for his strong work ethic, Jeff had the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and rational manner. Jeff was a very kind, honest and caring person who had a quick wit and a love of video games. Jeff's passing was so sudden and we are forever grateful to dear neighbour Kitty Stewart who was so helpful that night. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jeff's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Lundar Community Hall with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. The service will conclude at the hall. Honorary pallbearers are Curtis Chartrand, Jeff Forbister, Rhys Fjeldsted, Jamie Malcolm, Wes Kent, Clayton Beck, Kent Lindal, Garnet Backman, Danny Chartrand and Freddie Chartrand. Urn bearer will be Greg Runolfson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeff's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3. My prayers are with you Irene, Jim and Greg. It is never easy to lose a loved one, especially at such a young age. I cannot find the words to say how sorry I was to hear of Jeff's passing. I can remember Jeff as a baby, a teenager and as the wonderful adult that he turned out to be. Take pride and comfort in the fact that Jeff loved you both very much, and knew how much you loved him in return.
