DONALD GEORGE TAYLOR It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Donald George Taylor, (November 18, 1931 - March 5, 2014). He will also be missed by his golf buddies, who joined Don at his Living Wake held Saturday, March 1, 2014. Don had a successful career in the insurance business and was a member of the Granite Curling Club and St. Charles Country Club. He also enjoyed oil painting, fishing and hunting. He was a man of many talents. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff for their compassionate care at the St. Boniface Hospital on 7A West and the Palliative Care on the 8th floor. Dad never lost his amazing sense of humour and joy for life. Donald looked forward to joining his beloved wife Josephine. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Dad, I have been living in New Zealand with my New Zealand born wife (Luana) and my son (Jackson) whom I love very much. It has been 16 years and unbelievable how time flies, but I never forget the good times we all as a family had when growing up!!! I remember the quaint house in Hamilton, Ontario, where I was born, though small it had so many memories. To your much larger home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You always made sure we were looked after, and provided for, there is not enough paper to write everything down, just know Dad I loved you no matter what. - Posted by: Brian and Luana Taylor (Brian taylor (Don;s Youngest Son)) on: Mar 12, 2014

  • I am very saddened to hear the passing of my stepfathers Dad....The times I spent with him when I would visit Winnipeg were always joyful and I just want to pass on my condolences to the rest of the Taylor family in this very hard time. Lots of Love Jackson Taylor from New Zealand. - Posted by: Jackson Taylor (Step Grandson) on: Mar 12, 2014

  • Uncle Don and Aunt Josie were always favourites of mine. The relationship they forged with us was different from other aunts and uncles. It was more personal. It was as if they recognized us for who we were as people, not what we were as nephews. They were special. I'll miss them. - Posted by: James Blair Lyttle (nephew )cousin really)) on: Mar 10, 2014

  • Our sincerest condolences to the Taylor family. - Posted by: Kathleen Lovett and Kevin McConnell (Friends with Gary Taylor) on: Mar 08, 2014
