GERARD (JERRY) RENE JOSEPH DEVIGNE March 30, 1930 - March 7, 2014 In the early morning of March 7, 2014, surrounded by family, Dad's five year battle with Alzheimers came to an end at Actionmarguerite St. Vital at the age of 83 years. Jerry was predeceased by his mother Marianna, father Albert, and daughter-in-law Ginette. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years, Louise, sons Richard (Rose Marie Sevald), Raymond, daughter, Lise Robitaille (Larry), grandsons: Robert, Marc, Denis, and Paul, sister, Louise Davidson (Gerry) and in-laws: Raymonde (Louis) Marius, Denise (Roger) Sabourin, John (Liz) Gagne, Suzanne (Ron) Nelson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. After serving his country in the Korean war, Jerry met and married the love of his life Louise. Together they made Winnipeg their home where they raised their three children. Whether Jerry was selling vacuums, cars, or photocopiers his outgoing and magnetic personality made him one of the best in his chosen profession. Jerry and Louise's travels took them to many destinations including Hawaii, Disney World, Vegas, Mesa, Harlingen and several cruises with their children. Besides being a loving husband, Dad was a great and caring father and a doting grandfather who took interest in all their activities. He will be sadly missed but always remembered. The family would like to thank the staff of the Unity Marguerite at the Foyer Valade (Actionmarguerite St. Vital) for all the loving care given to Jerry during his five year stay. Your exceptional care and attention was appreciated by Jerry and our Family. In keeping with Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood Rd. In keeping with Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood Road.
