ALBERT BOND Albert Bond (Sandy) passed away at the age of 83 on March 10, 2014. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Lil, son Clyde (Scott), daughter Sandra (Tim), grandchildren Trevor (Candace), Tyler, Jordan and Kelleigh, two great-grandsons, sister Maxine (Hal), and sister-in-law Marlene (predeceased by brother Jerry). Sandy was a Winnipeg Police officer for 30 years retiring in 1981. For many years Sandy and Lil enjoyed family at Gull Lake where they made many lifelong friends; flowed by many years of RV'ing. He worked very hard, often working two or three jobs to provide for his family, who always came first. A private family service will be held on March 22 followed by a celebration of his life at The Harbourside, 1954 Henderson Highway from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association.

I am so sorry to hear that Sandy passed away, I always remember him as a kind, easy going next-door neighbour, a good friend of Mom and Dad's. I remember he was always there for us, including coming over one time when our parents were out, to check our house for intruders or ghosts, to reassure us kids that the noise we heard was only a house noise, and to help Dad in the middle of the winter, to trace the tracks of a window peeper, and catch him down the street, (then show him how Dads feel about window peepers!) Our hearts go out to you, Lil, Clyde and Sandra, and families, and we wish you strength in the difficult days ahead. - Posted by: Jan Greig (Glover) ("old neighbour") on: Mar 19, 2014

Dear Sandra, Your Dad meant the world to you. May the days go by where something you see, say or hear, remind you of him. May these memories bring you some joys in these tougher days. God Bless you and your entire family. - Posted by: Shelley Armstrong (Friend) on: Mar 17, 2014

I will always remember your Dad the first time I saw him in his buffalo winter coat (police issue). He and his partner came to visit his Mom on Martin Ave. They were the hugest people in the world. I always enjoyed the times I had with him, and they were never enough. I was always infatuated with the ring he wore. I had one made much like it 30 years ago.
