CLAYTON PASHKO October 30, 1984 - March 9, 2014 It is with breaking hearts and deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother and friend, Clayton Pashko at the age of 29. Clayton couldn't wait to come into the world and in fact didn't even make it to Winnipeg, he was born in St. Pierre, MB on October 30, 1984. On that day he changed so many lives and brought about great joy to all who knew him. He grew up in Vita, MB where he loved playing basketball and listening to the Jets 1:0 and later the Phoenix Coyotes, on CJOB. One of his most prized possessions was a Coyotes jersey that he had personally signed by Habiboulin. He could often be seen driving his bike or the riding lawn mower down the gravel road, always with his faithful companion Pupster, or one of many cats and rabbits. Later he moved on to driving his Camaro and his dad's trucks. His first job was working for Larry Smook and he loved being on the tractor in the fields until all hours. After graduating from Shevchenko School in 2002, Clayton moved to Winnipeg where he soon found work with his brother Quentin at Wallace and Wallace. Under the training of his friend Mark he quickly became a very adept chain link fencer, and briefly even operated his own fencing company, Sunny's Fencing. He had the entrepreneurial spirit and would always look for a way to make a buck, just like his Uncle Grant, who predeceases him. We know those two are cooking up some scheme right now. Recently, Clayton found his true love and big dollars, working with his dad on the Pipeline. He made many friends while working out there, and was thrilled on his recent trip to be able to operate large equipment. He was making plans to take a course which would have furthered his career with the pipeline. During these times in Northern Alberta, Clayton was especially happy to be able to bond with his dad, and somehow in their travels the two of them always seemed to find a family of stray cats to take care of. While out working he would Skype or text his mom, who he had to be in touch with every day. When not on the pipeline Clayton used his great fencing skills to help out at his family's company, Wolfpak Fences. Although he was the baby and always spoiled, he was never selfish and always had great compassion for people and animals. Clayton cared very much for his girlfriend Nikki and her daughter Kassidy, as well as his dog Stitch and cat Al. He had so many friends that loved him deeply ... too many to name, but thank you to Shannon for all you did for him and your help during this difficult time. He also leaves many cousins, aunts and uncles who spent so much time with him while growing up in Vita. Clayton also leaves behind his parents Heather and Ed, brothers Lance and Quentin, sisters Kelley (Gray) and Teensie. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Baby Clay, I don't know what we will all do without you. We love you so much. "What though the radiance which was once so bright Be now for ever taken from my sight, Though nothing can bring back the hour Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower; We will grieve not, rather find Strength in what remains behind". In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Clayton's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society. 204-586-8044

Clayton was by far the kindest fellow in his class at Shevchenko, in my opinion, (which was one grade up from mine), and he had only good things to say to me as we grew up. A quiet and generous spirit. I recall playing boys chase girls, red rover, and soccer hundreds of times over the younger years with him. I admired Clayton's attitude in school and looked up to him when we were youngsters in elementary because he wouldn't tease or bully anyone and tried to make light of hard times by singing a song or cracking a little joke. Clayton carried himself with integrity in junior high and high school. I'll always remember his smile and his genuine good-natured way of approaching things. - Posted by: Larissa (School friend) on: Mar 17, 2014

I'm honoured to speak to you today about my best friend Clayton, this isn't nearly going to be enough. He and I worked at Wallace and Wallace for many years which led to an amazing 11 year friendship. I knew Clayton both inside and outside of work. He was my wing man and a master fencer. I first met Clayton on a job site that Mark sent me to. I was new to Wallace and didn't know anybody. So he approached me and started small talk. He asked me if I lived near Cathedral and if so, could he catch a ride to work. I agreed and that's how it all started. Clayton was a hard worker and a go getter. He pushed himself to succeed at everything he did, especially at work. When he and I were partnered, we quickly became known as the DreamTeam of Wallace. No one could install a fence faster or more efficient than us. We both had points to prove to our boss Mark. This go go attitude from us led to many heated arguments. You can ask anyone from Wallace, we scrapped like an old married couple. We would get call backs to the office from customers saying, "They installed the fence so fast and it looks really good, but you shouldn't have those 2 guys working together. At one point we thought they were going to fight." He always liked to tell that story. Our fights made us legendary at Wallace and this dynamic made or friendship unique. I lost my significant other. Now that he's not here I can tell you he started those fights, but if he was here he'd say it was me and we'd go at it again right in front of you. This leads me to the most frustrating thing about Clayton is that you couldn't argue with him. He always had an answer for everything. We had many tiffs over this. I finally learned to walk away. I'm going to miss that. Clayton has an incredible personality, he always made an attempt to get to know someone even if his friends couldn't stand that person. He always believed in the good in people and his giving to his friends knew no bounds. If you made it into Clay's inner circle, you were in for a ride. Literally. To elaborate, remember his Camaro? Clayton invested a lot of money into that car. It was one of his favourite possession. I only sat in that car once and refused to get into it again. He drove it like he lived life which was in the fast lane. I was with him when he got another favourite possession, his Trans Am. Everybody thought he was nuts i know I did. One time we were heading home on the perimeter and I saw him reach for his seatbelt and all I could was oh ma. He flew threw those gears and I look at the speedometer and it said 220 with another gear to go. I trusted him with my life. I can tell you nothing meant more to Clayton then his family. He talked about them all the time. I got to know his family without even meeting them but when I did they treated me like they knew me for years. To Kelley and Teensie he loved you so much. He knew you would take care of him in everything he needed. Our baby Clay. To Lance and Quentin, he looked up to you. He followed in your footsteps. Heather you were his best friend he loved talking to you on the phone whenever he could. And to Ed, he wanted to be you. I could be up here all day telling you stories about Clayton. But I leave you this one that changed my life. Mark ask Clayton if he knew how to and without hesitation he say yup no problem. We get halfway to the site and tells me "idk what I'm doing. To which I replied wtf. He turns to me and says "how do you expect to get anywhere in this company unless you take a chance?" Next year I had a similar situation happen to me and in that split second I thought of Clayton. So I did what he did. He gave me the courage to seize the moment and today I'm the ornamental king of Wallace. To my best friend and brother I never had. I always thought I was taking care of you. Turns out you took care of me. I love you and will miss you forever. - Posted by: Shannon Leask (Best friend) on: Mar 17, 2014

I do remember seeing Clayton in school. many years ago.. he was such a funny kid, with a good personality and I could have sworn he was a split image of Quentin with the spiked hair and more.. .still, sad to know that Clayton has passed onto peace BUT I hope Quentin and everyone in Clayton's family will know they have good memories of him for all of life... - Posted by: Roman Arseny (friend) on: Mar 14, 2014

The one I thing I regretted is not keeping in touch with you after high school. We became good buddies and I always remember laughing with you all the time. One thing that we'll always disagree on is the Cujo vs. Khabby debate. And yes Cujo was better. Rest in Peace Clayton. - Posted by: Roger (Friend) on: Mar 13, 2014

Clayton worked for me at Banister on this winter project. He was a hard working young man. Clayton did everything asked of him without a complaint, always a smile on his face especially when I asked him to run the Tack rig. Clayton worked with his father Big Ed. They worked on different crews but every morning they could be seen chatting up a storm. I know he made his father proud. He will be sorely missed by all at Banister. Rest In Peace Clayton - Posted by: Joe Bouchard () on: Mar 13, 2014

There is not enough words in our english vocabulary to discribe Clayton. I am going to choose one, incredible! Personality, work ethic, life advise, every story you ever told (when I would think no way you did that, you would always have 100% proof either with your name and a certificate on the internet or someone who was there with you). You lived and loved. You truly were a great friend and I loved learning from you and fencing with you. It was always funny even though I was right behind putting up fence, you would still tell me to hurry up. I would tell him im waiting on him and if he wanted something done, to get off his phone! It was hilarious because anyone who worked with him knew he spent 90% of his day on his phone while working. He was always on the phone with his family, mostly his mom and sisters. I would wonder "how do you talk with them for hours everyday?" And he would tell me it was because how much he loves and cares about them. Family was such a big part of Claytons life and he showed it. Clayton, you have been and always will be a constant inspiration to me in my mind and heart. You will be missed by many, I am grateful for meeting you and having a great friendship through it. I love you Clayton, see you later! - Posted by: Kurtis Kremski (Friend/co-worker) on: Mar 13, 2014
