MARGARET BETTY MCKAY Peacefully, on March 10, 2014, Margaret Betty McKay passed away after a brief illness with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by her spouse William Robert McKay, daughter Janet (Brian Rivet), son Bradley (Lori McKay) and her daughter Barbara (Peter Lieske); her grandchildren Jennifer (Eric), Jessica (Nick), Christopher, Nathan (Brianne) and Sarah (Matt); her great-grandchildren Hudson, Zachary and Miles, and her sister Jean from Toronto. Mom will be lovingly remembered for her love of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Bridge and her sunspot at the lake. You could always depend on Mom to express her honest opinion. A Memorial Reception will be held on Saturday, March 15 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. The family would like to express our appreciation to the Community Palliative Care Unit for their support and guidance that allowed us to be with Mom at her bedside. A special thanks to Kristen, her health care aide who helped the family and Mom through a very hard time.
