Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) PATRICIA VERMETTE (nee ENGEL) August 6, 1927 - March 14, 2014 It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Vermette on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Victoria Hospital surrounded by her beloved family. Remaining to carry on her memory are her beloved husband, Gerry. Mom and Dad celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on September 30, 2013. As well she leaves her children, Marlene (Lucien), Louise (Leo), Carole (Felix), and David (Susan), her grandchildren, Bob (Teresa), Debra, Gerald (Susan), Kim (Adrian), Suzanne (Kevin), Brianna (Kyle), and Cynthia. She has also been blessed with nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff on 5 South at the Victoria Hospital who were so kind and compassionate with Mom during her short stay. Goodbye and God Bless Mom. Rest in Peace. We love you. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 28 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
