MARIE JEANNE BRETECHER (née REMILLARD) 1920 - 2014 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marie Jeanne Brétécher on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 93 years. Marie Jeanne had a huge heart and always put her family before herself, she loved spending time with family and also with the many friends she made throughout her years. We will always cherish the time spent with Marie Jeanne at the many family gatherings. Mom had a wonderful sense of humour, as well as a love for music and singing, she also enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, sewing, and quilting. Marie Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Raymond. She will be lovingly remembered and survived by her children: Denis (Loretta), Aline (John), Claudette (Allan), brother Ambroise, sister Lucille, grandchildren: Dolores, Deanna (Jon), Trevor (Tami), Diana, Sean (Janelle), and great-grandchildren: Asher, Juliana, Sam, Wyatt and Dominic. The family would like to thank the staff of both the Cathedral Manor and St. Boniface Hospital for the care and compassion given to Marie Jeanne while in their care. In keeping with Marie Jeanne's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 rue de la Cathedrale.
