JEANNE MANN On March 9, 2014 Jeanne Mann (née Coteau), 97 years of age, passed away after her terrible battle with Alzheimer's disease. Jeanne, beloved wife of Harry Mann who predeceased her in 1967 will be reunited. Jeanne and Harry are survived by two daughters, Darlene and Claudette, one son, Ken (Shirley) and three granddaughters, Rachelle, Karlin and Candice (Chris). Jeanne expressed that she hoped to be remembered kindly and that all the people who were in her life had contributed to her personal development and thanks each one sincerely. She asks that her passing not be associated with grief and sadness but, accepted as a very integral part of life a new beginning, not an end. Floral tributes are gratefully declined. In lieu, if anyone so desires they might consider forwarding one rose to someone they love dearly. Flowers are meant for the living to enjoy and admire as God given beauty. A SPECIAL thank you to Taché Centre for their care and support. Jeanne and Harry will share their resting place together. "We miss you Mom." Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU & CO. • I'm still singing and humming some of your mothers tunes and dance steps. - Posted by: Douglas G Nuytten (former student at Varennes and Claudette's friend) on: Feb 21, 2016

  • Au revoir Jeanne. - Posted by: Sylvain Croteau (from Arthabaska, Qc) (Cousin) on: Jun 24, 2014

  • Mrs Mann, she was the teacher, she was the Mother - and my goodness but we can still see her enter the music room in the elementary block at Varennes, we kids squabbling over the sticks, the triangles and the Quaker Oats box drums. Sheesh. A great lady. Hope Darlene, our Claudette and Kenny are all well. - Posted by: Wayne and Wendy (Pearson) Kennedy (Old friends and students) on: Apr 18, 2014

  • My condolences to all the family. Enjoyed every minute I was companion to your dear Mom! - Posted by: Kathy Veroneau (Friends) on: Apr 02, 2014

  • Sincere Condolences. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. I worked with Jeanne and remember her sense of humour. She spoke so lovingly of her children and grandchildren. May your memories support you at this time. Special prayers for Candice, you were a special student and I remember your warm smile. • I remember Mrs. Mann fondly. She was a great music teacher who also gave her students a head start in French, beginning in elementary school - very unusual in the '50s. I'm sure many of my former classmates will concur. Thank you. - Posted by: Nancy Stimpson (former student at Varennes School) on: Mar 31, 2014

  • My sympathy on the loss of your mother. Seeing her face and the familiar names brought back many happy childhood memories of the years we spent living next door. I particularly remember her loaning me a bathing suit for a one day swim trip when I did not own one and of us climbing the tree in the front yard of your home spying on the neighbourhood. My sister Bonnie & I remember you all. - Posted by: Lucille Rybuck(Morrison) (neighbour) on: Mar 30, 2014
