Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH STEFANKO (nee MILLS) March 21, 1928 March 28, 2014 With deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Ruth. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Peter, daughter Linda, son Peter James, grandchildren Jennifer, Rob (Tannis), great- grandchildren Nikolaus, Hunter, Hudson, Gabriel and Layla, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her father Alex, mother Mary and sister Alice Trotter. Peter and Ruth were childhood neighbours and friends. They fell in love and were married in 1948. They spent 65 wonderful years together. Ruth was a very hard worker and was employed with Christie Biscuits, The Tower Theater, Eaton's and Sears. Her greatest joy was taking care of her husband Peter, raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth made time to listen to any of our concerns or problems offering a positive caring response. She was a fantastic cook and baker. Always pushing herself to make the best Christmas, Easter and Birthday dinners. We will never forget her amazing roast beef and turkey dinners, cabbage rolls, spaghetti and meatballs "with her special secret sauce", cheesecakes and honey cookies. Ruth never forgot a special occasion and always remembered to mail a card off to family and friends to congratulate them on their special day. Her favourite saying was: "If you don't have family. You don't have anything!" A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. For online condolences or to light a memorial candle please log onto www.mosaicfunerals.ca Vichnaya Pamyat Rest in eternal peace You will be in our hearts forever. 1839 Inkster Blvd. 1006 Nairn Ave. 204-275-5555

Grandma. I am really beginning to miss our weekly chats. Your advice, concern, wisdom, and unconditional love helped me to where I am today. The excitement in your voice was always present when I told you of all our accomplishments. I know you are smiling down on us and I know you will be with us for the Jets Season opener as you are their #1 fan. - Posted by: Rob (grandson) on: Apr 02, 2014
