MIKE BUDD October 10, 1948 - March 27, 2014 On March 27, 2014, surrounded by loved ones, Mike Budd peacefully passed away in his sleep at Grace Hospice in Winnipeg, at age 65. He is survived by his daughters, Sandy (Tom) and Donna (Drew); grandchildren, Danikah, Kaylee, Ethan, William and Madeline; sister Judy; special friend Rosie; nieces, Erin and Meghan; nephew Kenny. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Jessie; his aunt Rose; his brother-in-law Brian; brother Billy; and nephew Shane. Dad had a real passion for photography, which led him on many Flickr adventures he loved sharing with others. His detail-oriented nature and curiosity about his roots led him to researching genealogy for many years. In earlier days, he loved to go dancing and listen to Blues and Jazz music. And he always loved a good laugh at Rumor's Comedy Club. We will miss his big, toothy grin and bear hugs. A celebration of Mike's life was held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Thompson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, with a private family interment at a later date. We would like to thank the compassionate staff of Buhler Centre, Victoria Hospital and Grace Hospice, for the loving care of Dad in his final months.
