  • I just learned of the passing of your Mom/Gram. I'm so sorry for your loss and the loss to your family. She spoke often to me of how proud she was of her children and grandchildren. I remember fondly my visits and telephone conversations with your Mom. She was a gracious, intelligent and always a well informed woman. I used to tell her I hoped I would have such a keen mind and wit at her age. She also contributed so much to the administration of our condominium complex over so many years. I was always astounded at her razor sharp memory. If there wasn't a paper record or if the record was unclear the refrain was always "ask Mary". She shared a little bit of her struggles through the years with me but never with a shred of self pity. I again admired her resilience, work ethic, and determination. She was also funny and witty and our visits were always pleasant times. I've missed her since she moved and regret that I haven't seen her recently. She'll always be in my heart as she did have a lasting impact on me. My sincere sympathy to you and all of Mary's family. • We were saddened to hear of your loss. Your mom was also a part of our lives while our moms shared a room together at Misericordia Hospital. I will always remember our discussions on the clothes at the Nygard store close by. It always put a sparkle in her eye. May your warm memories of her stay in your hearts. - Posted by: Shiryl and Gordon O'Brien (Friends) on: Apr 05, 2014
