JOSEPH LUPICHUK March 18, 1928 - April 7, 2014 It is with much love and sadness that we say good-bye to Joe Lupichuk. Dad passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2014, at the age of 86. Predeceased by his wife Irene, parents, Mary (Jaworski) and Thomas Lupichuk, along with brothers Frank, Sam, George, Tony and baby Michael, Joe leaves to cherish his memory, his children Jo-Ann (Ken) Park and Brian (Lisa) Lupichuk, his grandchild Adrian Lupichuk, his sister Polly (Lorne) Beattie and their daughters Cheryl and Angela, along with many friends and relatives. Joe was born on March 18, 1928, in the Manitoba rural municipality of Shell River, and spent his childhood years on the family farm. He married the love of his life, Irene in Kamsack, Saskatchewan on October 18, 1956. Shortly after they married, Joe and Irene chose Winnipeg to live and raise their family. Dad enjoyed sports, in particular curling and baseball, and being a member of the Flashbacks baseball team. He liked games of cards, especially cribbage and his Tuesday evenings at the Transcona Legion. He cherished being part of the Brotherhood at St. Michael's Parish, and appreciated the support from the Pastoral Care Committee. Divine liturgy for the deceased will be held on Monday, April 14, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Parish, 400 Day Street, with Rev. Dr. Greg Zubacz officiating, followed by interment at Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba or a charity of your choice. • Our deepest sympathy for your loss Jo-Anne and Brian. Your Dad will be missed. He always had a smile for everyone and never a harsh word. He was truly a gentle and kind soul. I remember many, many days or nights when both Joe and my Dad would get into some sort of mischief, usually around the Coldstream poker table. It was a pleasure knowing him for 40+ years. - Posted by: Lynn and Rick Howard (Long time neighbors) on: Apr 14, 2014
