Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • My deepest condolences to all the Granger children and your families at this sad time. Being friends with Dan, Donna and Bill,....all of us kids always hung around the Granger house in Transcona, and your Mom never minded. There were so many special memories of your Mom as she was such a special person. I remember a time when myself and Dan got into a dust up in their backyard and she separated us, and treated me like I was one of her own giving both myself and Dan a good talking to and made us apologize to each other right away, and to make up "as she explained .... we are friends and to smarten up". Rest in Peace Mrs Granger and God Bless. Alf Carboni - Posted by: Alf Carboni (Dan's friend) on: Apr 14, 2014

  • I'm truly saddend by the news of Mum's passing. I'll never forget those times when she treated me like one of her own kids. That included getting hit in the head with a pot or getting yelled at for something she considered to be just dumb. Most recently I ran into her at the dollar store and I walked up to her and gave her a hug. As we were hugging, she whispered in my ear, "I don't remember your name". I said "It's Darryl Howell Mum". Then she hit me like it was my fault she forgot my name. Then we laughed together and hugged even harder. I will miss you but never forget you Mum. Rest In Peace "OLD GIRL" You can give me a smack for that one when we meet again. I'll be looking forward to that. Love you always. - Posted by: Darryl Howell (I adopted Mum when I was about 14 years old) on: Apr 13, 2014
