Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULINE ANDRIESHYN October 16, 1919 - April 3, 2014 At Percy E. Moore Hospital, with family by her side, Pauline passed away with grace and dignity. She is lovingly remembered by daughters, Pat Michaleski and Iris Kolada (Henry) and sons, Michael (Fran) and Bill, as well as eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, on June 5, 1998. Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her card playing and bingo buddies, along with her casino travelling friends. A lifelong resident of the Fisher Branch area, Mom insisted on maintaining her independence and enjoyed living at the Chalet for the last five years. The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Percy E. Moore hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Ishmel. At Pauline's request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held in mid-July on the date of her wedding anniversary in Fisher Branch with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fisher Branch Personal Care Home or the Palliative Care Room Inc. at Percy E. Moore Hospital, Box 83, Hodgson, MB. Dearest Iris, Billy and family. My deepest condolences for your loss. I often reminisce of the days working with Mrs. A. and how she instilled in me such excellent work ethics. I enjoyed our short little visits when I would return home and sit and recollect of the days of old. Particularly, of when we would be so tired at the end of a busy Friday night when she, Mrs. Persowich and I would tackle the stacks of dishes in the huge industrial-size sinks, giggling in our tired state of mind. It was always followed by a bowl of borscht soup which she had set aside for Billy and me (as that was one soup that did not last the full day!). She also introduced me to cherry perogies and deep-fried perogies with gravy :). I so enjoyed her company and she treated me so very good. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Bev MacGillivray (nee Boyd) (Friend) on: May 02, 2014

To Pauline's family, your Mom was an absolute joy. We worked very hard but laughed so much at Andy's, I have such great memories of those times. Pauline was firm but fair and a great friend and lady. She will be missed. Pearl and family - Posted by: Pearl Persowich (Friend) on: Apr 21, 2014

Pauline was my step-father Dan Genyk's older sister. My husband Edward and I and my sisters enjoyed our visits to Fisher Branch to visit with her. She always was a pleasure to speak with. She told us that the Genyks and Malkowiches came from the same village in Ukraine. She was very interested in the two recent trips we had made to Ukraine. Pauline was a treasure. She had a good sense of humour, was direct and no nonsense in manner of speaking, and was a hard-working and generous person. We will miss her very much. Our sympathies to her family. - Posted by: Donna-Mae and Edward Burgener (step-niece) on: Apr 16, 2014

Pat & Family: My sister Orrasia and I are sending our condolences to you all on the passing of your mother. I last saw her in Fisher Branch about 4 years ago at the Malanka supper and dance that our band played at. We had a nice chat and reminisced about the good old days She was a really neat lady.
