  • Back in the fall of 1980, when I was an out-of-town student at the St. Boniface Shool of Nursing, I accrued a total of $85.00 worth of parking tickets in the first month. I recall going to see Rosalie to tell her I wasn't sure how I could manage to continue the course because of my parking problem. She told me to wait there in her office, and she came back with a parking pass that allowed me to park bechind the school! I will never forget her kindness. What a champion of nursing, and a role model she was! Thank you, Rosalie. - Posted by: Harriet Yarmill (Former nursing student) on: Apr 18, 2014

  • To Rosalie's family, I am sorry to hear of the passing of this lovely woman! I knew Rosalie for only a brief time, but thought of her often. Rosalie helped me to study for my RN Exam in 2003. I would come to her house and she would 'drill me' on nursing science. The passion she had for nursing was contagious! I was so grateful to have met her and learned from her! During our study sessions, she would give me yummy little snacks! Her pickles and turnip buns were delicious! She spoke lovingly of her children and grandchildren often during our study sessions, showing pictures and stories! I pray for her family during this difficult time; may she rest in peace! - Posted by: Melanie Hawranik-Sobering (Friend) on: Apr 17, 2014
