KATHY APPLEYARD Peacefully, on Monday, April 14, 2014 with family by her side, Kathy passed away at home. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Full obituary to follow in Saturday's paper.   • Dear Allan I sent an email a long time back but I am not sure you received it. I just wanted to share that my thoughts have been with Kathy over the weeks since her passing and prayers to you and your family. Kathy was very dear to my heart. I will always remember her smile and her courageous yet gentle ways. She was not just a co-worker and mentor, she was a very special friend.   • To Al and Family, We send out prayers,condolences,and offer support to you in any way during the difficult days ahead. There are no words we could say to make the passing of Kathy any easrier for you. We know she now is in a better place. Treasure the days you have shared, remember the good times, and be thankful for the legacy of her life. Years ago Josie and Kathy curled together, had a drink or two, laughed a LOT, and enjoyed bridal showers. For the past few years we have not been as close; however, Kathy held a special place in our hearts.
